has over 30 years of first responder experience. His life of public service started in high school as a volunteer fire fighter and emergency medical technician. Ryan would go on to retire from the Austin Police Department after 24 years of service. He was an Executive Officer on Austin Police Department's cutting edge,

has over 30 years of first responder experience. His life of public service started in high school as a volunteer fire fighter and emergency medical technician. Ryan would go on to retire from the Austin Police Department after 24 years of service. He was an Executive Officer on Austin Police Department's cutting edge, multidisciplinary active attack team. Since retirement from APD, Ryan has focused his attention on sharing his knowledge and experience with educators, students, parents, organizations, and other individuals. School safety is a particular passion. He is a registered on the Texas School Safety and Security Registry. Ryan maintains an active Texas Peace Officer License and a Personal Protection (Level IV) Security License through Texas DPS.
